WalK cYcLE

Hey guys, looking though my work I found this animation we did in class. It was the first time I attempt to make a walking cycle animation. This type of animation is categorized as classical animation, meaning it is produced frame by frame. It was exciting and frustrating at the same time, and it let me think about the hard work every animator makes. Some peopel might think it is so easy to draw, but hey let me tell you that making thousands of drawings is not so fast. I did it based on a walking cycle drawing I found in my research and on top of this I started to draw my little monster. By the way I love MONSTERS!!! ARRRR! HAHAHA.

Anyway I let you here an onion version to see each of the 9 drawings I did to recreate it.

After that I created a background (repeating back) and added color to my monster. I wanted to have a nice vector and clean look, based on the PPG style.

AVATAR ReViEw!

Hey guys, this week I went to the movies and it was necessary to see AVATAR. First of all let me tell you that I really enjoyed it, I mean it was so exciting to see all those graphics and the mood of every composition, colors, plants, elements and characters that complement each other giving the right balance for the scene. So it is so interesting for all of us, the animators and designers to iscover the process behing and I found this interesting videos. Check them out.

This other one is James Cameron talking about the process of the movie and making of, from idea to reality.

Let me tell you this is a new generation of movies and we will be part of it.
